Evolution of a Painting: Day 3

About five years ago, before I moved to this land, some straight line winds came through here and did an enormous amount of damage. Felled oaks lie strewn across the 30 odd acres along with all kinds of conifers. the best time to tackle this mess is during the fall and winter when you can move easily through the forest and see clearly the layout of the land. So I spent most of the weekend out in the snow clearing brush and making huge fires in the snow when it is safe to burn.

Why am I telling you all this? Because I did not have much time to paint. I left you with day 2 of the painting on Friday, you can scroll down to see it. So this is really day three even though it is day 5! Of course I got very carried away over the weekend with some issues that I couldn't help sandwiching in between The Evolution of a Painting, but I hope you will stick with me on this!

I also found a magnificent video on line that I would LOVE you to see. It is called Ashes and Snow, Feather to Fire. Please click on the link below. Okay, see you tomorrow with day 4 of the evolution of a painting.
